The
MOMS Club is:
• The only
international support group just for you–today’s at-home
mother!
• A group that
understands your choice of at-home
mothering!
• A wonderful way for
you to meet other at-home moms
and a
fun way for your child to meet
other at-home
children!
The MOMS Club does:
Play groups
for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children.
Field trips
for mothers and their children.
Monthly meetings
with speakers, discussions and other fun programs.
Family parties
around the holidays and during the year just for fun.
Activity groups for
the mothers like scrapbooking, Mom’s Night Out, exercise groups and other
special interests.
Service projects
that help needy children in our community.
Internationally,
the MOMS Club has over 1250 chapters in seven countries, and we represent more
than 65,000 members! We are the only international support group specifically
for all at-home mothers,
and we’d like you to be a member too!
Play groups
We feel that play groups are important for our children. They learn to
share and interact with others! We have at least 2 play group days a week at
different locations, including the park. We cook, play and do art projects. The
play groups can change as the needs of the children and moms involved change.
It’s a great way for the children and moms to make new friends!
Activity
Groups
The MOMS Club sponsors Activity Groups for members with common interests.
These groups will vary and may change as interests change. Some Activity Groups
could include: scrapbooking, gourmet lunch
group, arts ‘n’ crafts, canning club, garden group, etc. The possibilities
are almost endless!
Bring your children!
We believe being a mother shouldn’t
isolate you, so you may bring your children with you to anything we do. You
don’t have to bring children to attend, but if you do, please remember, you
are responsible for your child’s safety and behavior. Also, please plan to
leave sick children at home.
Sometimes we may have a volunteer member watching the older children away
from the mothers, but sometimes we
will all be together, so you may be
asked to bring some toys or books to share. Babies are always welcome to stay
with their mothers, and you may nurse at our meetings.
If your baby becomes fussy,
please be considerate of any
speakers and move to another room
until your
child has
quieted.
Meetings
All of our meetings are during the day, when at-home mothers need the
support. In addition to a monthly business meeting, we will also have field
trips and other get-togethers, such as trips to the zoo and holiday parties.
There will also be an organized monthly Moms Night Out!
Dues
Our dues are $30.00 a year and pay for our room rentals, supplies and
programs. You may attend two meetings (such as a business meeting
and a play day) before you decide to become a member. We understand that
being a mother-at-home often means
a tight family budget, so if the dues would be a hardship for your
family, please talk to one of our officers.
Welcome Newcomers!
Come visit our next meeting! Our chapter is always open to new members.
You probably won’t be the only new person there! Although some of us
have lived in Crockett for years and are experienced
mothers, many of us are new
to town or new to motherhood!
We all have one thing in common – the
MOMS Club introduced us to other moms who stay home…the
ones who soon became our friends.
